A pregnant woman is buried alive at a beach on the west coast of Sweden back in 1990. The brutal murder remains unsolved until the police student Olivia Rönning takes on the case. She is determined to solve the case and soon realizes that she needs to cooperate with the former detective commissioner Stilton whom is now living as homeless after tragic circumstances. The case finally reach a resolution but with totally unforeseen consequences.
Julia Ragnarsson and Kjell Bergqvist play the main part as Oliva Rönning and Tom Stilton.
Spring Tide is the author pair Rolf and Cilla Börjlinds first novel and it is the first in a trilogy of books about Tom Stilton and Olivia Running. The debut Spring Tide has sold over 100,000 copies in Sweden and sold to more than twenty countries. The Börjlinds are some of Sweden’s top screenwriters with several successes in their luggage. In addition to the acclaimed TV series The Murders and The Tomb they have also written screenplays include twenties Beck movies. Spring Tide is a co-production between SVT, Filmlance, Film i väst, Lumiére and Nad con.
