Ronja the Robber’s Daughter awarded at VES Awards

The Visual Effects Society (VES) announced its winners for the 2025 VES Awards, which is the most prestigious award for visual effects. Ronja the Robber’s Daughter was awarded for the work with the character The great wile-wing, the Queen Harpy. Other awarded series in other categories were among others Dune, Part Two, Wild Robot, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Shōgun; Anjin, The Penguin och Alien: Romulus.

Ronja the Robber’s Daughter won in the category “Outstanding Character in an Episode, Commercial, Game Cinematic, or Real-Time Project”. The winners are Nicklas Andersson, David Allan, Gustav Åhren och Niklas Wallén, ILP.

VES Award is a celebration which annually “recognizes outstanding visual effects artistry and innovation in features animation, television, commercials, games and new media.” The nominees in 25 categories were selected by VES members at 49 in-person and virtual panels around the world.
