Filmlance, one of Sweden’s largest independent production companies has since the establishment in 1988, produced award-winning, high-end television and feature films for a worldwide audience. The filmography includes more than 100 titles of major motion pictures, animated children’s films, TV films, TV series and short films.
Filmlance is the proud founder and creator of “Bron/Broen”, an incredible success worldwide, with numerous awards and with an upcoming 4th season. “Bron/Broen” has been sold to more than 157 countries and the remakes of the series “The Tunnel” (France/UK) & “The Bridge”(USA/Mexico) have also been widely successful.
Filmlance has since the start had a fondness for children and youth film. We have had a long co-operation together with well-known Per Åhlin & PennFilm Studios on the films about Laban the Little Ghost and Little Anna and the Tall Uncle and also with Saltkråkan & Bildmakarna Berg when the classic story about Emil in Lönneberga came to life in a new version.
In the production slate for 2016-2018, Filmlance has a number of strong titles, such as four new Beck-films, Rolf and Cilla Börjlind’s TV-series “Spring Tide”, the 2nd season, a new TV-series signed Jens Lapidus, writer behind “Easy Money”, with the ambition to start the new era in Nordic-noir. On the feature film side there is the epic high-concept story about Swedish entertainment phenomenon from the late seventies, the drag-show group After Dark, the tween franchise dramedy “Eva & Adam”, and the young adult, contemporary off-beat drama “Broke”, written and directed by the young and multi-talented creator and shooting star director Nikeisha Andersson. And there is more…
Filmlance currently has 24 employees and is part of Endemol Shine Nordics, which is part of the Endemol Shine Group.
